Since our last edition, we continue to witness significant changes and disruptions across the world, but also with glimmers of hope and positive outcomes ahead:
- Cyber-attacks on many UK household names (M&S / JLR / Coop)
- The launch of a national green energy plan to create 400,000
- For the first time (H1 2025), global electricity from solar and wind outpaced generation from coal.
- Venture funding in the AI sector exploded: in Q3 2025; where AI firms received nearly half of global VC investment
- The Peace deal in the Middle East
- We also have the weekly (and sometimes daily) uncertainty of the impacts on the global markets from President Trumps policies and the challenges this brings to the industry
The industry continues to contend with frequent uncertainty arising from the effects of President Trump’s policy decisions, that impact global markets, posing ongoing challenges for market stability and strategic planning.
The three articles in this addition are quite different, as our regular readers will know, we like to bring a bit of variation. The first article explains the impacts on individuals and firms of sexual-harassment and the strengthening of the non-financial misconduct rules. The second looks at the growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in organisations and how this can positively impact the way we construct and write reports without losing the human touch and finally reviewing the impacts of the Reform of the Remuneration Code and the key changes.
As we speed towards the end of 2025, we hope that your business has remained resilient to continued market changes and that there will many new opportunities in 2026.
