Definition and overview of AI as both technology and a human construct – posing questions regarding efficacy and existential threat within the context of late-stage capitalism.

The journey of AI from science fiction to science fact and its absorption into modern life has been both rapid and pervasive. This section traces the development of AI, highlighting the breakthroughs that have invited broader adoption. It sets the stage for understanding the transformative potential of AI in investment management, particularly within SWFs.

• Applications & Implications of AI for Investments & SWF

AI is already reshaping the investment landscape. We analyse the applications of AI for financial management, such as predictive analytics, portfolio optimisation and risk management, while also addressing the implications. This includes the opportunities AI investment funds present for enhanced decision-making and operational efficiency, as well as the challenges, such as ethical dilemmas, systemic risks and potential biases.
